This seems to point to more information on the upcoming Pokémon Switch game especially since Oha Suta called the news "shocking", which might have a connection to the leaked title Let's Go Pikachu. That game is entirely separate from the Let's Go games, but it's not coming out until the latter half of 2019, and that's a long time to wait if you're not excited about Pokemon Go overlapping with your "regular" Pokemon.

The next entries in the Pokemon series have yet to be confirmed.

The last piece of that puzzle is whether Let's Go will be compatible with Pokemon Bank or any other core Pokemon game, including Pokemon Switch. We have no information on trading. The game largely operates automatically, where the chosen Pokemon will seek out nearby creatures to fight with, but players can pause the action or direct their creature at any given time.

Within Pokemon Quest, players will be able to befriend a number of different Pokemon creatures by making use of the items they'll find throughout the adventure. Pokemon Quest will let trainers explore Tumblecube Island with "a team of up to three Pokemon". However, it could just free-to-play like Fire Emblem Warriors instead. In that spirit, the games have a lot in common with Pokemon Go-and even connect to it directly.

While that one new Pokemon will be the only new Pokemon seen in Pokemon Let's Go, we'll also get some Alolan forms in the game.

Pokémon Let's Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon Let's Go, Eevee! are based on Pokémon Yellow: Special Pikachu Edition, which first launched in Japan in 1998.
