LeBron James reveals he 'regrets' naming his son after himself

The NBA superstar - who left the Cleveland Cavaliers for the Los Angeles Lakers earlier this month - is producing and appearing on a talk show for HBO called The Shop, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

"THE SHOP is exactly why we created UNINTERRUPTED", says LeBron James. James added that The Shop was partly inspired by his experience as a kid listening to adults in barbershops "talk about sports, clothing, politics, music" and everything else.

LeBron James has passed on physical gifts, basketball savvy and defensive skills to his son, a 5-foot-10 AAU star known as Bronny. He's been as positive a role model for kids as you could create in a laboratory since he entered the National Basketball Association in 2003, never taking a wayward step. "How do you give them peace of mind that they don't have to be you?"

"I still regret giving my 14-year-old my name because of that", he said.

"When I was younger, I didn't have a dad", James said. Akron is that. @LJFamFoundation we've always done it big and it doesn't get bigger than opening day tomorrow (until the next thing we dream of ) I'm so unbelievably proud and excited to see my kids, my home, and the 330 tomorrow. The drugs, the violence, the guns. everything that they're going through as kids, I know.

"The only thing I can do is give them the blueprint, and its up to them to take their own course whenever their time comes". That aside, it's a pretty interesting and honest revelation by LeBron. Both the good and bad.

James regrets giving his oldest son the same name as him.

Anyway, if this is what this show is going to be like, it should be a pretty enjoyable watch.
