Saturday will mark the tenth anniversary of Sheikh Mansour's purchase of the club and what a transformation he's made.

There were loud cheers from the Chelsea end when Jorginho's name was read out before kick-off - and plenty of jeers from the City end, too.

New Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri could win a trophy in his first official game with the reigning FA Cup champions.

All eyes were on Jorginho, the man touted as the magician who would facilitate Chelsea playing Sarriball from day one.

The Blues had a decent pre-season where they defeated Perth Glory and Inter Milan (International Champions Cup) before losing to Arsenal on penalties.

Guardiola was said to be disappointed after Italian midfielder Jorginho chose to join Chelsea instead of City. Now they need Alvaro Morata - a struggler on Sunday - to click.

"Callum Hudson-Odoi showed he has great potential with his display on the left wing against City, and he should take a lot of positives out of the game".

The transfer window has been shortened in the English Premier League and will close on Friday morning (NZ time), before the season starts. "Our pre-season until now has been a bit insane I think and so we have to work".

"He has issues to tackle right through his team and, with Thursday being the transfer deadline for incoming players, there is not much time to decide whether to address them in the transfer market". Play from the back, attack where possible and show some ambition.

"He was training all season with us, he fought with all our players, so that's why it's so good to have another player with this talent".

Willian has told ESPN that Barcelona made an official bid to sign him from Chelsea this summer but he is happy to stay at Stamford Bridge.

Scoring his 200th (and 201st) goal for the club in the process, we want to see if you know the clubs all those goals have come against.

"My method has always been to speak with players face-to-face and then we will see what the best solution if for them and Chelsea".

"It depends on me, it depends on the players".

Pep Guardiola insisted that Phil Foden will be a Manchester City player "for a long time" following the 18-year-old's impressive display against Chelsea in the Community Shield.

Manchester City's Sergio Aguero scored twice against Chelsea.

"I arrived here three weeks ago and I've never seen six players, so it's very hard", said Sarri.

Richarlison, a 21-year-old Brazilian, had played only one year in England's top division - he faded badly after Christmas at Watford following a strong first half of the season - when he was signed by Everton last month for a fee that could rise to about $NZ97 million. It was so hard but the players played really well.
