Paul Scholes thinks José Mourinho is 'embarrassing Manchester United'

Scholes was working as a pundit for United's Champions League clash at home to Valencia tonight.

Since their 2-1 win over Leicester City on the opening day of the Premier League season, United have lost 3-0 to Tottenham, been held 1-1 by Wolves and knocked out of the EFL Cup by Derby County on penalties following a 2-2 draw.

After finishing second in the Premier League last season, United are now 10th in the table after seven games, already nine points off league leaders Manchester City.

Only once in his managerial career has Mourinho made it to the fourth year in charge of a club, in his first spell at Chelsea, though he was sacked just a month into it.

"I'm actually sat here surprised he survived after Saturday, the performance was that bad".

"He's coming out in press conferences constantly having a go at players, having at go at people above him because he's not getting what he wants".

Who should replace Mourinho as United manager? "This is what I ask of my team, my group, my club".

Paul Pogba keeps his place in midfield alongside Marouane Fellaini and Nemanja Matic while Romelu Lukaku once again leads the line up front.
