Why the Dallas Cowboys will lose big at home to the Jaguars

Jaguars S Barry Church faces former team for first time, spent seven seasons with Cowboys. The offense continues to be without Leonard Fournette, who is out again this week with a hamstring injury. Yeldon and Chargers' Melvin Gordon are only backs with at least 250 yards rushing and three TDs.

Jacksonville's defense is actually first in the league in terms of yards per game while they rank tied for third in points.

The Jaguars are 8-2 against the spread in their last 10 games following a failed cover and 7-2 ATS in their last nine games following a loss. Can he show that he can replace Grant for the season? A week after a season-best 154 yards rushing, Elliott had a season-low 54 yards. It's still worth monitoring the newfound depth, however. Jaguars won in only previous appearance at AT&T Stadium, 35-17 in 2010. The Jags couldn't beat the Chiefs' undefeated offense, falling 30-14 on the road.

Today, though, you can expect more of the same recent history. In Week 1, rookie Saquon Barkley rushed 18 times for 106 yards. The Jags defense has not tackled extremely well, and Dallas can exploit them with short passes, screens, and getting Zeke the ball in any and all ways.

Hurns' success in the National Football League is a feel-good story. So, good luck to Prescott and the Cowboys receivers at snapping out of the doldrums this week.

The Jaguars were also beaten last week, although they were handily defeated 30-14 by the Chiefs despite putting up 502 total yards (including 430 passing yards by quarterback Blake Bortles). That's great and all, but it hasn't translated to success on the field.

Starting tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins (core muscle injury that required surgery) is on injured reserve and won't be back until December at the earliest. His lone touchdown came last week against the Texans on a three-yard score, which was his only catch of the game.

"I think we were pretty fortunate past year as far as staying healthy", Bortles said.

The Jacksonville Jaguars have an excellent opportunity to win the game on Sunday at Dallas. They are up against a mediocre-at-best line that has been made even worse, specifically in their matchup on the right side, by injuries.

"I think that they bring a lot to the table in the things that they can do, both stretching the field and running routes", Hackett continued. Jacksonville is also 3-2 against the spread while going 3-2 with the under on the year. Amidst all of those problems, however, the Dallas defense has kept them competitive, even with linebacker Sean Lee now dealing with an injury. Starting 3-3, Jacksonville losses credibility as a playoff contender.
