Hue Jackson is out as head coach of the Cleveland Browns, following yesterday's 33-18 loss to the division rival Pittsburgh Steelers.

The Browns, who have not made the playoffs since 2002 amid a slew of coaching changes, have lost three straight games after a promising start to this season. The Browns have a game Sunday against the AFC West-leading Kansas City Chiefs and seven more before the 2018 season comes to a close.

The last six coaches for the Browns have all been fired following a loss to the Steelers.

After firing Hue Jackson on Monday, the Browns will spend the next few months seeking a permanent replacement, assuming Gregg Williams doesn't keep the job long-term.

After losing two key coaches on offense this past offseason - Greg Olson and Matt LaFleur - the Los Angeles Rams could have another coach of interest to the Cleveland Browns. As we sat down and talked to the players today, I expressed that to them.

Kitchens joined the Browns when Haley was hired earlier this year.

And by moving on from Jackson and Haley, Haslam said he believed the organization took a "big step" in ridding the "internal discord" that can compound the already hard task of winning in the NFL. "If and when the Cowboys ever need a head coach, it wouldn't surprise me if the Jones group considered him".

"I think we did what we thought was best for the organization", Haslam said.

Under him, the Browns finished as the worst team in the National Football League in two consecutive seasons, including an 0-16 campaign in 2017, only the second winless season in National Football League history. He went to the University of Miami of OH, which is known as one of the best coaching schools in the country.
