Ryan Reynolds Expertly Trolls Hugh Jackman With Spoof Political Attack Ad

Hugh Jackman once again appears to be the focus of fellow actor Ryan Reynolds' off-kilter sense of humor, with the "Deadpool" star releasing a mock political ad about "The Greatest Showman". So, as Reynolds is so skilled in doing, he's made a decision to do nothing else but launch a smear campaign against his friend in an effort to convince others as to just why Jackman doesn't deserve the praise he's been getting.

It's actually "Hugh Michael Jackman", the video says, as a birth document highlighting the actor's middle name appears on the screen.

'Hugh Jackman's upcoming performance in The Front Runner has fooled some people into thinking he deserves an award, ' the narrator of the video says while eerie music is playing in the background. It's actually "Hugh Michael Jackman".

"Is this type of fantastic actor and nice person we want delivering a preachy liberal speech this awards season?"

Only time will tell how Jackman responds to these startling allegations. In the video, he says "think before you vote" - nothing too subtle there, eh? The faux ad, the latest incident in the long-running Canadian-Australian cold war, reveals all sorts of (totally made-up) facts about Jackman, but also lends support for the Oscar-nominated actor's upcoming role in The Front Runner.

Ryan Reynolds' trolling days are far from over. The film follows the rise and fall of Senator Hart, who captured the imagination of young voters and was considered the overwhelming front runner for the 1988 Democratic presidential nomination when his campaign was sidelined by the story of an extramarital relationship with Donna Rice. "A lot", the video continues showing a photo of Ryan.

While that film was a critical failure and was widely parodied by fans - and often by Ryan - it spawned a bromance between the two actors that has sparked regular comedic interplay between them online.
