Kylian Mbappe, Lionel Messi and Salah held the fourth, fifth and sixth place respectively.

The victor of the 2018 Ballon d'Or has been leaked hours before the official ceremony.

The 26-year-old forward finished third in the annual Federation Internationale de Football Association award behind the victor Modric and Ronaldo who came in the second place.

The teenage talent has enjoyed a sensational year, winning a plethora of domestic titles with the Parisians, as well as lifting the World Cup with Les Bleus in Russian Federation over the summer. This season, he has netted 15 times to lead the club while also providi made eight assists in 16 games in all competitions.

The midfielder adds the award to his list of others accolades received this year, including UEFA Best Player, FIFA Best Men's Player and the Golden Ball at the World Cup.

The Ballon d'Or has been awarded by France Football magazine since 1956 and sees their staff put together the 30-man shortlist.
