It's followed by the date July 4, 1985, confirming the rumors that Stranger Things 3 will take place, at least in part, during the summer of 1985.

The third season of the sci-fi horror series premieres on Netflix on July 4, U.S. time, meaning it will be available for Kiwis to binge-watch on July 5.

Though specifics of the third season of "Stranger Things" have been kept under wraps, Netflix's Cindy Holland told Deadline in July 2018 that fans can expect "more special effects" when the series returns this summer.

Earlier today, the streaming giant revealed a very cryptic and weird teaser trailer of Stranger Things season three.

The Duffers have already confirmed Stranger Things will end after season four.
