To demonstrate this, Samsung is also showing off a screen that's 219-inches here at CES 2019 as well as modular panels that can make MicroLED screens of any size. Technical advancements in the ultra-fine pitch semiconductor packaging process made over the past year have allowed Samsung to narrow the gap between the microscopic LED chips, thus allowing the company to create a more home-friendly 75-inch form factor.

Forget 8K QLED (although that's still great too), Samsung has debuted a 75-inch 4K version of its superb "The Wall" MicroLED display that we first saw this time past year.

The 219-inch display may be a pie-in-the-sky demo (for now!) but a 75-inch version - however expensive - could find its way into some homes in the relatively near future. The Micro LED display has a self-emissive technology and modular capabilities, this means the millions of RGB (red, green, blue) microscopic LED chips are able to emit their own light to produce and adjust the correct colour balance on the screen.

Offering significant versatility, users can customise Micro LED screens to fit any room or space.

Despite the addition of more modules, Micro LED displays pledge to increase picture resolution, whilst keeping pixel density constant.

Micro LED displays should offer high levels of brightness, deep blacks, and wide color gamuts. According to Samsung, this includes support for standard formats like 16:9 HD or 21:9 widescreen, and more unconventional aspect ratios like 32:9, or 1:1.

The groundbreaking feature of Samsung's new Micro LED is that it automatically scales up content regardless the screen and shape of the content. There are no borders between modules despite adding multiple screens. The seamless aesthetic is only enhanced via Samsung's new Ambient Mode features.

Samsung has just revealed its latest innovation called Micro LED during its annual First Look CES event at the Aria Resort & Casino in Las Vegas.
