Trump seeks to undercut Schiff, complains about media coverage of Russian Federation probes

President Trump took to Twitter on Friday to try to undercut House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam B. Schiff (D-Calif.) and complain about media coverage of ongoing investigations into possible coordination between his 2016 campaign and Russian Federation.

Wallace said that although "there doesn't seem to be much there, there" to a "smoking gun" proving obstruction of justice by President Donald Trump, Republicans are just a wee bit hypocritical for whining about probes of the president, especially after the Benghazi fiasco.

"Now we find out that Adam Schiff was spending time together in Aspen with Glenn Simpson of GPS Fusion, who wrote the fake and discredited Dossier, even though Simpson was testifying before Schiff", Trump wrote in a tweet. Could Adam Schiff be in the terminal stage of Trump Derangement Syndrome?

Wallace emphasized that "Democrats are in control of the House and have control of these committees" and "that's just the way it works".

The president started his Friday by parroting Fox News' Gregg Jarrett for saying that Senate Intelligence Committee Chairman Richard Burr hasn't found evidence yet to prove the Trump-Russia collusion theory.

The possibility of coordination between the Trump campaign is also being investigated by special counsel Robert S. Mueller III, an inquiry that remains ongoing.

"The Dems and their committees are going 'nuts, '" Trump tweeted early Thursday morning.

That's largely because Senate Republicans have given no indication they would vote to remove him from office - and that vote would only come if House Democrats impeached him, which that party's leaders remain reluctant to attempt.
