All That Revival Is Happening at Nickelodeon with Kenan Thompson

For those who are too young to remember the show (bless your cotton socks), the series has been referred to as a "Saturday Night Live for the teen set", and basically involves a series of hilarious sketches involving various members of the young cast. Well, now they want to call back the Midnight Society for more Are You Afraid of the Dark? this October.

Thompson, who is now the the longest-tenured cast member on Saturday Night Live, will not be quitting his day job but plans to be involved as much as his time allows. It is news that will undoubtedly excite long-time fans of the show.

Otherwise, we'll let you know when the All That revival is coming to Nickelodeon.

"We think there's a great opportunity to find the next pool of stars".

Nickelodeon announced its plans to bring back the two shows, along with a new version of Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader hosted by John Cena, and a SpongeBob spinoff. "We have a new creative team in place and a renewed energy that we're harnessing to bring the buzz back to Nick".

"It means everything to me", Kenan said about the news of the revival.

Robbins said the show would include a mix of new sketches with a taste of the old.

Perhaps the most famous sketch from All That was "Good Burger", which inspired a feature film adaptation by Nickelodeon in 1997. "It gave me an opportunity", Thompson told Variety. It will be hard considering the significant time commitment his current job requires, but the funnyman wants to have a say in the show's development at Nickelodeon. Every time [Robbins] does that, he has been right on the money. All That kickstarted the careers of actors like Thompson and Amanda Bynes, and even launched the spinoff movie Good Burger, starring Thompson and his Kenan & Kel co-star Kel Mitchell.
