The upcoming Hulk Hogan biopic is now in the middle of closing a deal with Netflix.

Netflix has obtained the exclusive life rights and consulting services from Terry Gene Bollea AKA Hulk Hogan.

Avengers: Endgame star Chris Hemsworth will take on the role of WWE wrestling royalty Hulk Hogan in a new film for Netflix.

Hemsworth began his acting career on Australian soap opera Home And Away.

Hulk Hogan is known to modern audiences for being a reality TV star and an all-around media figure, as opposed to just for wrestling. The legend cut a promo on an episode of Monday Night Raw, paying homage to one of the most iconic voices in the wrestling business. John Pollono will write the script with Scott Silver, the latter of whom teamed on Warner Bros' upcoming The Joker. 'You know who I thought would be good?

Thor and Hulk might be getting their own movie. Phillips and Bradley Cooper will also produce through their Joint Effort banner, alongside Hemsworth and Eric Bischoff.

However, much in the same vein as the Queen biopic "Bohemian Rhapsody", the Hogan biopic will focus on the origin story of Hulkamania - and not delve into the less palatable aspects of Bollea's life.

Either way, what a wonderfully odd few years its been for Phillips, who is now completing work on the small-budget Joker origin story starring Joaquin Phoenix. So maybe don't expect to see anything about the sex tape scandal and subsequent lawsuit against Gawker, as much as that would make a hell of an American Crime Story style film.

Aside from Thor, Hemsworth tried his hand at comedy (Ghostbusters), mystery (Bad Times at the El Royale), and at least one other biopic (Rush).
