Honda seems to be sending shockwaves across the F1 paddock in Barcelona.

Five-time champion Lewis Hamilton is the man with a target on his back as rivals such as Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel and Red Bull's Max Verstappen aim to deny him a record-equalling 6th title.

Red Bull has also been buoyed by the raw pace of the Honda engine this week, as demonstrated by Toro Rosso's Daniil Kvyat topping the Wednesday timesheets with the same power unit.

While teams are not showing their "true colours" in testing, teams can project how quick others cars on the grid can be come raceday in Australia.

"Our goal is certainly to achieve better results than past year with both teams".

Now, while comments from Honda's boss could not mean a lot to Red Bull fans, when Helmut Marko speaks, Red Bull fans do listen.

Red Bull advisor Helmut Marko believes Ferrari now has the upperhand over its rivals going by what he's seen on track during the opening pre-season Formula 1 test.

"We see Ferrari ahead of us at the moment, but we are not anxious about the times", said Helmut Marko. "We are ahead of Mercedes".

Christian Horner too has given a positive feedback about the auto and has conceded that both Gasly and Max feel very positive about the vehicle.

Horner continued: "We are fully on schedule".

"Pierre Gasly told us that the engine is better than last year's". The vehicle works as we predicted, and the Honda engine is a rocket.

Ferrari have been impressive in testing, largely due to their new front wing.

And so Horner said Red Bull is not considering simply copying Ferrari's front wing design, reportedly a key factor in their advantage so far.

"We've had a very good time [at testing]".
