Metcalf Exhibits Impressive Showing at NFL Scouting Combine

The 2019 NFL Scouting Combine is drawing to its close.

There were several incredible performances, including Ohio State's Parris Campbell who set the mark to beat with a 4.31 40-yard dash.

Mississippi State defensive end Montez Sweat took the National Football League combine by storm on Sunday, becoming the fastest defensive linemen to run a 40-yard dash at the event.

Cracking five seconds in the 40-yard dash (4.97, to be exact) is a big deal for Tillery, given his 295-pound frame as a defensive tackle. That 40-time was one of the better numbers among the linebackers on Sunday and his bench effort was upper-middle of the pack.

"He's the best player in the draft in my opinion". The New York Jets tweeted out a video of Metcalf's 40 yard dash, and while they may not look for him with the third overall pick he could be an option for them if they trade back.

That speed, paired with Sweat's size, is just unreal for a defensive lineman.

Time will tell when i comes to determining if Metcalf turns out to be one of those players who receives strong consideration, but if the Eagles were smart, they would keep an extra eye on the wideout after Indianapolis.

"I had identified Thornhill as a safety to watch in Lions Wires safety preview and he started the day with some serious explosion, elevating 44" in the vertical jump and clearing 11-9 in the broad jump.

This isn't the end of the world for Lawrence, but he pulled out of most of the day after suffering a leg injury in the early going.
