In Chicago, Clinton-Dix will help replace Amos, who signed a four-year deal worth $37 million in Green Bay.

Clinton-Dix was a Pro Bowler in 2016.

Per a report from the NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the team is signing former Packers and Redskins safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix to a one-year contract.


This deal is phenomenal for both sides. He'll join forces with All-Pro safety Eddie Jackson to form the new safety tandem for Chuck Pagano's defense with the Bears. Clinton-Dix and Jackson will now form one of the most formidable safety duos in the National Football League, playing behind a fearsome front seven that already includes Khalil Mack and Akiem Hicks.

Clinton-Dix, 26, spent his first four-and-a-half seasons with the Packers before he was traded to the Redskins last October. His extensive experience within the division could prove invaluable when it comes to knowing opposing quarterbacks and coaches' tendencies.
