New Lego Star Wars Game Coming Soon, According To Leak

Yesterday at Star Wars Celebration, the official Star Wars convention now being held in snowy Chicago, fans were treated to something genuinely new: a peek at "The Mandalorian", the first-ever live-action "Star Wars" television series and the first flagship series on the soon-to-launch direct-to-consumer Disney+ platform.

Hyping up a crowd already buzzing from Friday's release of a trailer for the ninth installment in the flagship film franchise, "Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker", were the show's writer and executive producer, Jon Favreau, and several members of the cast.

According to io9, who were present at Chicago's Star Wars Celebration Sunday, Disney bigwigs described The Mandalorian as a lone-wolf bounty hunter in the vein of Boba and Jango Fett. Taika Waititi (Thor: Ragnarok), Rick Famuyiwa (Dope), Deborah Chow (Jessica Jones), Dave Giloni (Star Wars: The Clone Wars) and Bryce Dallas Howard (star of Jurassic World) will each direct an episode. The show uses some old-school Star Wars techniques and the bounty hunter's ship-named the Razorcrest-is being shot using practical models.

Carano plays Cara Dune (which is a name that sounds a lot like Caleb Dume - the real name of Kanan Jarrus from Star Wars: Rebels). "He hires this guy and sends him out there and the Mando does what needs to be done". If you ever need a voice, let me know'.

"In the production meeting there were only so many Stormtrooper costumes they had".

It's here we see the Mandalorian walking through town and it's an Easter egg delight.

Carano will reportedly be playing Cara Dune, an ex-rebel shocktrooper.

Interestingly, guests will have to communicate with the creature (and his human assistants) in order to haggle for items, bartering and negociating with this character before you can make a purchase.

Droid Depot is set to open on August 29, 2019, with the rest of Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge! They told one story about Gina actually dragging a wounded warrior (who was a real human, not dummy) in a scene. We also saw footage of Carano pulling off some great stunts, and a line from Breaking Bad alum Giancarlo Esposito.
